About Our Koi

There are many creators of this art, but very few masters; real mastery takes time, love and a gift of vision.

We at Sugar Loaf Koi would like to introduce you to the art of one of these masters, Saito Masaru of Shintaro Koi. Saito is reverently called “The Maker of Dreams” because he has the skill to develop a bloodline and the vision to see a Koi’s potential. Shintaro’s Koi selection does now assault the senses, but rather continually delights and intrigues with its understated elegance.
